Scott Free Productions and Brandywine Productions worked together to produce Prometheus. These companies have worked together to make other Alien films in the series. These companies were founded by popular film directors and makers and this means that the companies will have good experience and knowlege of tht film making industry.
Scott Free and Brandywine produced the film, then the film was passed on to 20th Century Fox to distribute the film. As 20th Century Fox have a good reputation in the film industry and is one of the big six companies in the industry, having them distribute the film increased the films interest from the public as 20th Century Fox distribute the film very well.
